Disney Passes in Orlando
My brother went to Disney in Orlando recently and has 2 days left on his unexpired Disney pass. I am going to Disney in December. Can I use his pass to gain entry to the theme parks?

Possibly. FInd out the name of the pass. Also, check with mousesavers.com

Even with two days left, you may have some difficulty using it. All guests entering the parks have to insert their first two fingers into a biometrics "thing". The size and angle of your hand is compared with that which was stored when the ticket was first used. Since tickets are not transferable and he probably just recently purchased the ticket, his hand is in the computer. Ask him and see if he had to insert his fingers in anything to gain entrance. If he didn't, then you would be able to use that ticket.

If he had biometrics taken, then take that ticket to guest services and tell them its your ticket and you would like to upgrade to a 4 day pass, etc. I don't recall seeing a biometrics thing at guest services outside of Epcot to the right of the entrance.

I doubt you will be able to use them. I know at SeaWorld the hand thingy didn't work on me last time and they made me show my ID. So if his name is on the pass...I'm sure they will not let anyone but him use it. The parks have really gotten strict on these things.

You might post this question on disboards.com. That's where the truly Disney obsessed hang out. They can probably answer this in a flash.
But my understanding is that Disney changed its whole pass structure this spring and they dropped the price considerably on the longer passes - for example, I think it is only $2 or $4 to go from the 7 day pass to the 10 day pass. BUT -- they've virtually eliminated the unexpiring passes. For example, you may use the 10 day pass on any days over the 15 days following activation. There may still be non-expiring passes but they are much less common. You could take your brother's pass and call WDW guest services and ask if there are days left. If someone has the older passes that don't expire, they can no longer just go to the gate and use them. You now have to go to a ticket office and have them converted to Magic Your Way passes. |
