Disney Land & Sea Cruise
 

My wife and I are thinking about taking the above vacation because we really like Disney World and we really like cruises. Has anybody done this? We would like to stay at one of the deluxe resorts for 4 days and do a 3 day cruise. My question is are these cruises geared towards families or can a married couple without kids enjoy themselves on the cruise? Also, should we just do the full 7 days at either Disney World or the cruise as opposed to dividing the trip in half? Thank you in advance for any assistance.

It really depends on what you enjoy with a cruise. The Disney cruises do not have casinos. The entertainment will have Disney's thumbprint all over it. Have you done a shorter cruise before? A 3 day might be too short, when you consider packing, muster drills etc. Or you might just love it because you love Disney World.

We booked a Disney + cruise vacation through www.buildabettermousetrip.com and they were very honest. They steered us away from the Disney cruise because our oldest kids were 17 & 19. They warned us that Disney cruises don't have a lot for that age group and suggested that our kids might prefer Royal Caribbean because of the climbing wall, ice rink etc. It made a lot of sense so that is what we did and we had a great time.

We're thinking about a Disney cruise with our youngest two daughters now that the older ones have (mostly) left home. Or my husband and I (who both love Disney) will do one on our own one day.

There is an adult's only pool and if you decide to opt out of the regular dining rotation, you could eat at the Adults only restaurant. (Can't remember the name.)

We're heading on our 2nd Disney cruise in July. Then again, I have a 5 and 4 year old.

I might suggest you price a package cost and an al la carte cost. I found when you unbundle the package - especially excluding the air - the cost was advantageuos.
