DISNEY HELP NEEDED ASAP
I'm leaving for Disney tomorrow and I need some advice. I just found out that I'm four weeks pregnant and I'm concerned about going on the rides. Most of the rides I remember are pretty mild, but what about soem of the new ones, like Countdown to Extinction. How wild is that ride? I'd appreciate any advice. thanks.

The faster rides are usually posted with a warning "Pregnant women, people with back problems, etc.etc. should not ride on this attraction", or something like that.

At 4 weeks, I don't expect you're showing yet, so you won't be getting any queries from the attendants. Look for the warning sign at the entrance to each ride and if you see it, use your own good sense as to whether you should go on it or not.

And by the way -- CONGRATULATIONS!

When I was 4 months pregnant, I inquired about Disney and what rides were acceptable. My doctor told me to avoid any type of roller coaster, anything that would make me dizzy or jerk me around to much. At 4 weeks, well, it's difficult to tell. Countdown to Extinction is very wild. While it is not a roller coaster, it jerks you around A LOT. I don't remember seeing a warning on the safari ride, but someone I spoke to did. I don't know why there would be one. That ride is harmless, and would still go on it. Why don't you call your doctor's office and ask? Just remember, if you don't feel right about it, don't do it. It isn't worth the risk.

Congratulations and have fun.
The rides that are a bit too much will have signs re: people with heart problems, pregnancy, etc;
