Disney Dreams!

Has anyone seen Disney’s new site www.mydisneyparks.com ? You can win VIP access to the Magic Kingdom. I think that means you and your group have the whole park to yourselves. How awesome would that be!? Could you imagine walking through Walt Disney World with just your friends and family?

Nice first post.

It would be nice to visit h*ll on earth as I know it, w/just family & friends.

Whatever it may cost, I can't imagine many Fodorites would choose to spend that amount of money to rent out a park. Can you imagine the amount and quality of "real" travel you could have?

Sounds a bit Elvis or Michael Jackson-ish to me.

Oh, you "win" it. Yep, I'll enter - right after I win the lottery.

Who are katy and lily? Walt's daughters?
If so please ask the family to consider dropping the price of bottled water in the park. Like in half? Down to $2 maybe? And how's about maybe more than 2 check-in clerks at the All Star Resorts? For the 350 people waiting to check in?

With the Pirates movie taking in $150 million this week, maybe you could afford a few more minimum-wage teenagers at the refreshment stands? So we don't have to spend 2 hours of our day waiting in line for a soft drink? Or is that just your way of making the lines for the rides look shorter...by grouping people at the drink stands all day instead?

I did attend a private dinner one night hosted by the President of Food & Beverage for Disney in the Haunted Mansion after the park closed.

There were 5 times more employees than guests. The cast members formed human fences to keep us from wandering the park. There are no restrooms inside the Haunted Mansion.

First we had a cocktail reception hosted by Cuervo Gold in Frontierland.

Hmmn, ply us full of tequilla on an empty stomache and turn us loose in The Magic Kingdom?

Someone didn't think that through.

They did lead us out of the park at the end of our dinner down an empty Main Street USA and play Tinkerbell's closing song with the street all lit up.

HI--we are both Disney fans and *real* travel fans, but if that post is from a Disney employee, I think that is really tacky!! :(

Ditto at other special events at tourist venues - Houston Space Center, etc. Sounds like a good idea, but not really the place for cocktail party/ private dinners.

No, I'm not an employee....haha. I just heard about this from a friend and looked it up. It's a really cool thing they are doing for lovers of Disney World. This is only the 1st dream, I can't wait to see what's next.
