Dont forget to visit MGM studios. Nine year old will definitely enjoy it. More fun for kids then EPCOT which is really about being educational. Though if your kids are into tht it may be the highlight of your trip. Though I think they are a bit young.

Hoops, have you been to Epcot lately? Test Track, Mission Space, Soarin', Turtle Talk? Those are definitely E Tickets for kids!

My vote is for the Polynesian.

Just stayed at the Polynesian for a few days in early August and enjoyed it thoroughly but it is still in the midst of being rennovated so you do have some construction noise to deal with during the day. For us though, a very minor issue. Rooms are fairly spacious and the monorail makes it so convenient to everything.

I would choose the Polynesian even tho I haven't stayed there yet but my husband has with his first family and they loved the convenience of getting on the monorail early and getting to the rides before the lines started. Also I'm pretty sure they have balconies/patios on their rooms and I think that's a big plus unless your 5-yr old is a climber.

Relatives stayed at Beach Club with 2 little ones and that room was snug and no balcony. Pool was good.

Did not care for the darkness of An. Kingdom but then you're not in the hotel a lot. Did like the balcony though but we didn't see many animals until about 4 pm near the swimming pool. Distance from everything else is probably a big negative here, too. If your children want to see the animals, go over to A.K. for lunch or dinner. As I said, we saw many more animals in the afternoon.

The rooms at the Beach Club and the Yacht Club are the same except for the decor; however, virtually all of the YC rooms have balconies and quite a few of the BC rooms don't.
