Discount Theme park tickets..where to buy?

Hello,

I am going to Orlando next month with my family, and was wondering if anyone could suggest where/how to find discounted theme park tickets? We have been told by friends to wait until we get there and go to local hotels. Any other suggestions or ideas?
Thanks!

If you are an AAA member, you can get some discounted tickets here:<https://www.aaasouth.com/map_loc_attractions.asp>.

Another option is the Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau <http://www.orlandoinfo.com/tickets/>.

While you're at it, don't forget to get an Orlando Magicard <http://www.orlandoinfo.com/magicard/...m?act=home> for additional discounts in other areas.

Be very careful about people who may try to offer you free or 1/2 price theme park tickets. Often they are selling time shares and you will be expected to attend a 90-minute presentation in which they subject you to intense pressure to buy! Unless you have nerves of steel or a full bottle of 10 mg. Valiums, run from this type of giveaway.

Go to mousesavers.com. Mary lets you know which discounters are reputable. I bought my Disney tickets through ticketmania. They were a bit less expensive than the Disney advance purchase price. But don't expect a huge discount.

I second checking out mousesavers. Very good info. We also got some tickets through my company via a program called corporate perks. If your company has something similar you can get good prices. I also got some california attraction tickets through Costco.com. They may have some for Florida. Not sure if you need to be a member.

Go Orlando Card has some themeparks included with their discount passes. No Disney but a lot of Orlando activities. http://www.goorlandocard.com

You can check http://www.buildabettermousetrip.com...ervations.html

They say that the best way to save money is to avoid buying features you won't really use - we certainly found that to be the case.

I agree with the first poster about going through AAA. We got our season tickets through them and saved about $15/pass. Like another poster stated though, dont expect huge discounts...it just doesn't happen, without strings attached.

The only reason AAA gives bigger discounts (according to the Disney ticket agent) is that they are partnered with Disney and buy in bulk. Just how Coke is a partner with Disney.
