Well I looked in my area and there are a few places - most very casuale (local pizza joints etc). One or two nicer places - that let you have a $25 coupon for $10 or $15. I guess it makes sense if it's a place you would go anyway - and you can buy right before you go to the restaurant (so it doesn;t go to waste).

Once you sign up on www.restaurant.com, they send out frequent emails giving a code for 60-90% off. I'll pay $2 for a $25 certificate that requires me to spend at least $35; that means I get $35 worth of food for $12. In our area, lots of restaurants participate, and I've used certificates when we travel, too.

80 to 90 % off certificates is almost norm; I use them more when I travel as there aren't many restaurants here that offer them. Even if I don't use them, I don't get all that upset if I have only paid $2.
