discount show tickets in LV

I read about tix4tonight in Las Vegas where you can purchase same day tickets to shows at a discounted price. Has anyone used them? What shows do they have tickets for?

I checked them out once but didn't end up buying anything. They have 4 locations. If you check out www.tix4tonight.com, it lists them. If you're staying on the strip, then the one at the Hawaiian Marketplace (between Aladdin and MGM) will probably be the most convenient. I've heard that for the best selection you should get there when they open. They had tickets to a lot of shows but not for the really big shows like most Cirque shows or Celine Deion. I remember seeing Mamma Mia, Carrot Top, and a bunch of the adult themed shows (Jubilee, Zumanity, etc). There were many others, but I don't remember which ones. Also, if I remember correctly, some shows were only available that day but some could be purchased for the next day.

Are there any other sites for discount show tickets (popular shows like Cirque, phantom, etc.)?? I found one on travelzoo but it expires before my visit to LV in Sept.

There is another discount ticket place in Vegas (tickets2nite), but my guess is that they would have tickets to the same shows. The reason tix4tonight doesn't have shows like Cirque is because they usually sell out on their own and don't need to disount them. I just looked on the tickets4tonight page and they have a "sneak peak" of tickets they have available. Phantom was one of them. I cut and pasted the following from their page:
David Copperfield at 20% off!
Gordie Brown at 40% off!
Mamma Mia Today or Tomorrow at 50% off!
Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular at 30% off!
Stomp Out Loud at 27% off!
"V" The Ultimate Variety Show at 50% off!

Hope this helps.

Was in Vegas a couple of months ago and stayed at the Nugget downtown. On Fremont street there is a spot to purchase same day tickets for just about all the shows. Didn't use them but looked like they had some good values. It is on the same side of the street as the Nugget and toward the Harley Davidson store.

Tix4Tonite has more shows than the other tickets2nite.

Register at goldstarevents.com and you can purchase tickets for Phantom. Regular price $107-$132 for $67-$82. They also have Mama Mia tix. Regular price $82.50-$110 for $49.50-$66. There are other shows at similar or better discounts.

If you are going in April, you can see Joe Piscopo at the LV Hilton for free - Sun-Tue go cutting the following url into your browser:

Thanks for the advice. Westie, have you used goldstarevents.com before? I checked out their site and noticed that they do not give you the seat number when purchasing a ticket just the section of orchestra or balcony. Has anyone bought tickets from this site?
