Lynn,

Go to "travel-hawaii.com" if you want the tickets in hand before leaving the mainland. Heard nothing but good about them. Or you can get the tickets from ATM machines in Hawaii (just be sure you know your PIN #). But reserve your flights weeks ahead to make sure you get the ones you want (you don't need to be ticketed to make the reservations.)

sorry, i disagree with Lani. i tried buying 12 coupons from an ATM in Hawaii and got back coupons that expired the day before i was to use them!i called hawaiian air and since the coupons are purchased AS A CREDIT CARD CASH ADVANCE, one has no recourse similar to that of a standard airline ticket purchase. it took me several weeks and dozens of phone calls to get these "NON-REFUNDABLE" coupons refunded from hawaiian it was very unpleasant and i DO NOT recommend that anyone purchase coupons from an ATM.

stephen

I finally have something to contribute here! I recommend hawaii-nei.com. Their service is wonderful. I expressed my hesitancy via e-mail to purchase coupons over the internet and that I was visiting Hawaii for the very first time. Arrangements were quickly made to accommodate my concerns. I was to be met at Honolulu Airport when I arrived and they would deliver the coupons. When I arrived in Honolulu, I was met by a charming and pleasant and knowledgeable representative who not only delivered my coupons to me, but greeted me and my family of five with fresh flower leis AND took digital photos of my first time ever arrival in Hawaii! She later e-mailed those photos back to me with a thank you note! Now, I call that service. The representative said that the owner of the company frequently surprises first time customers with flower leis. She said they call it aloha spirit. Wow!! diane.

There are also a place here called "Cut Rate Tickets" The one here in Kona is a converted gas station booth. You can buy your coupons from them for about $55-60. I use those whenever I fly interisland. But I agree with Lani, make your reservations before hand and just tell the agent you have a coupon. (The coupons are good one way). There are times, especially weekends when the flights fill up

I was wondering if anyone new which class of coupons are for Hawaii residents only. I saw some "Q" class coupons for Aloha up for auction on ebay. If I decide to bid, I don't want to end up with tickets that I can't use. Thanks in advance!

Anna,

Aloha Airlines Q class interisland coupons are for Hawaii residents only. To use these coupons, a Hawaii State ID must be presented upon check in at the ticket counter. For Non-Hawaii residents, interisland coupons on Hawaiian Air can be purchased for about the same price. If you'd like more info, feel free to email me.

Aloha,
[email protected]
