Discount Hawaii car rental-Thrifty Rent-a-car
 

I recently reserved a car Thru Discount Hawaii Car Rental, who subcontracted thru Thrifty Car Rental. When I went to the Thrifty website to view the rental, they did not recognize the confirmation number. They said the reason could be that I did not make the reservation on their website or on their 1-800 number, but instead made it somewhere else. Did anyone who used Thrifty via Discount Hawaii have a problem? If so, how was it resolved?

That's sounds logical. Even if you make a reservation directly with a company over the phone, the confirmation number might not pull up in their online system.

If you CALL Thrifty they should be able to tell you if they have a reservation in your NAME for that location and that date. They could then probably give you the THRIFTY confirmation number for peace of mind. It would be different than the Discount Hawaii number but this is nothing out of the ordinary when booking through a 3rd party.

To follow-up on an earlier question, I contacted Jerry at Discount Hawaii Car Rental. He quickly responded by telling me that Thrifty had had a computer glitch that day and told me to try again. I did, and sure enough it was there as promised. PS I also used a link on the Discount Hawaii Car Rental website to book my inter-island flights. It worked really well and I got a great price.

What price did you get on interisland air fare through Discount Hawaii Car Rentals? Did you do better than $28 one way that is avialable through Go! (iflygo.com)??

No, that fair expires in October, we are travellimg in Jan. We got $39 in January
