Disappointing Meal in Hilton Head, where to eat next

Just got back from Dinner at Just Pasta, meal was bad. The bread was delicious and the buffalo mozzarella was ok. Everything else was just bad. DH and I ordered chicken parm and veal parm. His Veal was slightly overcooked (my chicken was fine) and small. The spagetti sauce was awful and made the entree inedible as did the overcooked spagetti. Our kids had meatballs and spagetti and that was pretty medicore too.

We have two more nights and are wondering about the seafood buffet at the Hilton, Barony Grill, Hudsons, Cafe Europa, Juleps and Eugenes. The Barony sounds good but not sure if they allow kids (ours are used to restaurants). Money is not an issue, would just like to have the best meals.

Also has anyone taken the large catamaran ride the Pua something or other, is it worth it

Thanks

Everyone I know swears by Cafe Europa. You might give that a try. Just avoid the place across from it, whose name I cannot remember, that has live music. The food was AWFUL.

Cafe Europa is very pleasant and the service is excellent..Try Neno's up near Wal-mart...crazy location, but excellent food. Also Charlie's mid-island is very popular - lunch or dinner. The Santa Fe cafe...the normandie. Lot of folks like the Cafe at Wexford, but it is noisy. Be sure to stop at the Leon de Paris for some honest to goodness french pastry...

You need to try Charleston's, Stripes, Eugene's, South Seaport Cafe, Starfire Bistro, Cafe Europa, Crazy Crab (north location), or The Captain's Table.

Ok thanks for the recommendations. We had a pretty good meal tonight at Cafe Eurpoa. I would recommend it and even our kids behaved (I think they have had it with kids menus on this trip)

Last night we ate at the Seafood Buffett at the Hilton Oceanfront. It was diverting and different but as soon as it got dark the misquitos were out. Also the food was ok but not great unless you like raw bars or crab legs. We do not. Music was good, felt like we were at a casual wedding buffett. This should not be confused with the Mostly Seafood restaurant which we ate at the first night and was quite tasty and a bit pricey. That I would recommend, especially if you like nouvelle seafood

Lisa

There are LOTS of great places- depends if you want to do the "tourist" thing or not..... The LOCALS get a great meal at The Crazy Crab mid island or the Sea Shack (a tiny dive, but great food) or get the best hamburger in the world at Harold's Diner on 278 (great breakfasts too)
