Would love to see the blue ridge mtn area, Where can I exit off I95N & back on to LI? How many miles extra? Thanks.

What's LI? Long Island?

I like google maps better. Go to either Asheville or Boone, NC and get on the Blue Ridge Parkway for a while.

It's about 200 miles more, depending on where you decide to intersect the Parkway.

I-95 N to I-26 in South Carolina to I-77 near Columbia SC.
I-77 through Charlotte to the first exit in Virginia which is Fancy Gap. Take the Blue Ridge Parkway all the way to Waynesboro Virginia. Decide at that point if you want to continue on the Skyline Drive or get onto I-81 at Staunton, VA.
You can take I-81 all the way to Hazelton, PA and get on I-80 east to the George Washington Bridge.

This took about a minute & a half. From JAX to LGA is about 950 miles. Going the same route via Columbia & ASheville is about 1150. You do the Math.

Just keep in mind that you can get on (and off) at a wide variety of options. I love the BRP, but I find I can't drive it for really long stretches of time.

This is my favorite part of the drive -

Here's the official website -

There's a good interactive map on there. You can't go wrong on which segments you choose.

Thank you all for the info. Tired of driving 95 all the way to NY and need a change of scenery as this may be my last trip by car.
