directions

hi,, i am terrible with directions. i will be in burlington at the hospital and need to go to raquette lake from there, i know there is a bridge out somewhere , has anyone gone from vt to raquette lake? it will be dark when i leave so i need a simple route,,if there is one,, thanks, Donna

Google maps may or may not show a bridge out. A GPS certainly would not.

You should post this with a new subject heading: Burlington to Raquette Lake. Most people won't bother to read something as vague as "directions".

That said, this is about 3 and a half hours in very lonely country. Do you really want to drive that by yourself? Couldn't you stay overnight in a motel in Burlington and do it in the morning? What if it snows?

I hope you did not venture out in that blizzard yesterday!

The bridge you mention is the Crown Point Bridge from VT to NY. The bridge is being re-built, but there is ferry service from Chimney Point to Crown Point. Then you have to wind you way through the Adirondacks.....
