Dinner reservations at Borgata Atlantic City?
 

Anybody can comment on both fine dining & casual restaurants at Borgata Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. What about reservations for this Friday night? Thanks! Trish

We go to the Borgata all the time. It is so beautiful! We have only eaten at the buffet, therefore, no reservations required, but before 9:00 p.m. the lines are very long. For $25.00 it is a great value.. tons & tons of very good food. For the more upscale restaurants. reservations are a must. I know many people who have eaten at the upscale restaurants and were very pleased with the quality of food. Have fun!

Thanks Shelley. Do you know if the "casual restaurants" need reservations too? We are particulary interested in The Metroplitan (Oyster Bar) and Mixx (Latin & Asian fusion w/Sushi)for dinner. We'll probably do the buffet for breakfast on Saturday. Thanks!

Mixx is alot of fun and the food is actually good! - great for groups -But be aware - it turns into a nighclub later on - as diners finish eating they move the tables out and the dancing starts - it is a very popular place with bachelor and bachelorette parties - The sexual names of the entrees and drinks flow right into that theme ---

We were there last August and no reservations were accepted for the Metropolitan. The Metropolitan is the general purpose restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Generally a line at prime hours but not more than a 15 minute wait. We will be trying Ombra on our next visit and reservations are definetly required.

We're back from Borgata, so I just wanted to follw up with a short report for any others who are curious. Fine dining requires reservations. Casual dining does not. We ate at Mixx which had cool atmosphere, and pretty good food too. Service was excellent. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with the design & detail that went into creating this hotel. It's really beautiful. We also enjoyed the spa very much. Trish

tpatricoo... wanted to find out more about borgata..have to plan a last minute bachelor party there for this friday. Let me know about restaurants etc. Did gypsy bar look good to eat and hang??
