Dinner recommendations around Eastham, Cape Cod?
We will be spending three nights in Eastham in mid June. Can anyone recommend great places for dinner in Eastham or nearby cities? Thanks!

Haven't been to the Cape in a few years, but when I did visit, my favourite web site was the Yankee Traveller one: www.newengland.com. You should get some good dining suggestions there.
Have fun! |
Eastham is in the middle of Wellfleet and Orleans and not far From Chatham. These 3 other towns have more restaurants to choose from The following are some of our favorites:
Orleans: Captain Linnell house; Land Ho; Old Jailhouse Tavern; Orleans Inn. Chatham: 28 Atlantic at the Wequassett Inn; RooBar. Wellfleet: Rensselears; Serenas. Eastham: Lobster Shanty. If you drive to Provincetown at the tip (about 40 minutes) you will find many of the best restaurants on Cape Cod. |
Thanks for the great advice!

Gene gave great suggestions on restaurants--I would agree with all most all. Just beware, they range a great deal in price and atmosphere.
I'll add a few: In Brewster-- Bramble Inn (very expensive but great) Sparkfish (nice atmosphere, midrange for the Cape) In Orleans-- The Beacon Room (mid to upper range, nice screened porch) In Wellfleet-- The Bookstore (a personal family favorite due to its location right across from the water, good seafood and pasta, casual, midrange) Have a great time in our part of the Cape. Be sure to go biking on the Provincetown bike trails if that's something you'd enjoy. Really special. |
I'd suggest that you take the 20 to 30 minute drive to Provincetown. There are amny places, with varied menues and prices. You can walk commercial street, view menues and make a choice that suits you.

One of the very best ... Brewster Fish House on Rt. 6A in Brewster .. Very lovely .. small ... but food is absolutely wonderful .. ! Not always easy to get a table and they do not take a reservation .. so a bit of planning is necessary ... If you can .. go around 5 or so and either plan to eat early or give them your name .. they are usually very accurate as to what time your table will be ready .. and/or you can sit at the bar and enjoy a drink (small bar for sure) ... A bit more upscale is the Bramble Inn .. also in Brewster and/or...Chillingsworth ... also the Chatham Bars Inn (food is very good .. but the location is spectacular) ... I don't know much about Provincetown .. but I have heard the restaurants and shops are wonderful .. Check out phantom gourmet .. his comments are very dependable ..
