Dinner near the 92nd Street Y in NYC?
 

Hello all: I've been reading messages on this forum for a few months now, and this is my first post! I'm looking forward to all of your helpful ideas. I'll be visiting NYC next week with my sister and some family friends, and we are planning to attend a concert at the 92nd Street Y (on Lexington Ave., Upper East Side). The concert begins at 8 pm, and we'd like to meet up for dinner before hand. We'll be travelling by public transportation/cabs, but our friends will be driving in from Westchester after work, so we'll have a limited time (hopefully about 1.5 hours) for dinner and getting to the concert. Anyone familiar with any restaurants in this area which would work for our time constraints? We like pretty much every type of food and are hoping for a price range of about $25-35 a person. Thank you in advance for your help!

There are several in the area, right on Lex Ave just south of 92nd St so you shouldn't have a problem finding something you will like.

I can recommend one of our favs in the area is called "One Fish Two Fish", and it's not far away, on Madison Ave and 97th St. Big menu, and great seafood and very well priced.

Sarabeth's on Madison, between 92nd & 93rd, two blocks from the the Y.

* Maz Mezcal -- 86th Street between 2nd & 3rd -- excellent Mexican cuisine

* Uptown -- Third Ave between 88th & 89th -- new; very creative menu

Also there's a great sushi place and a great Italian place on Third Avenue between 87th & 88th

* Lili's -- Third Ave between 84th & 86th -- excellent traditional Chinese

If you just want a good burger, there's a new Burger Heaven on Third Ave between 86th & 87th.
