Any suggestions for which restaurants to have dinner at in the Wine Country (Napa and Sonoma). Thanks.

Thanks Suzie. We'll check them out....

Couldn't finish the list as we had a 2 hour fire drill...

Napa:
Tra Vigne - St Helena
Bouchon - Yountville
Bistro Jeanty - Napa
Some people like Mustards - Yountville and as always, the French Laundry - Yountville, impossible to get reservations!

Had a fabulous dinner at Charcuterie in Healdsburg. Try the tarragon chicken...wow!

Never been a Mustard's fan, but Tre Vigne was nice.

Hey I'm with og719, never been a Mustards fan but lots of people like it.

I agree! Tre Vigne was great! I also really enjoyed The Greystone at the Culinary Institute. The tough choice is whether to sit outside on the beautiful stone terrace or inside the wonderful dining room where you can watch the talented chefs do their thing! EIther way, the food and atmosphere is great.

Many years ago we had a wonderful lunch at Chateau Souverain

Is it still good?

Here's another vote for Tra Vigne. They also have a lovely terrace outside where you can sit and have drinks from their next-door cantinetta. (And another vote for the French Laundry too!)

Try
All Seasons Cafe in Calistoga.

Blew our socks off! -- thought the food rivaled French Laundry (presentation better at Laundry)

Mustard's (yes, we're one of the few here!)
Tra Vigne

(didn't like Greystone - looked pretty but didn't taste that great and very $$

BeachGirl247 Jul 9th, 2003 01:20 PM

almost forgot,

Martini's

It is excellent!! Very cozy bar, too.
