Dinner in Charlotte near UNC Charlotte?
 

IS there a nice restaurant for a party of 15 near the school? We have a graduation this coming weekend, and we need to go some where that we can hold a conversation across the table. Plus, nice. Not expensive, but nice. Good food and atomosphere.

Lived there briefly in 1999-2000. there was a place called Providence Bistro- I think that's the name... sort of American Bistro food... not cheap but not too expensive and a decent atmosphere. It is in an area near UNC , there is a Hilton Hotel there and other resturants but I forgot the name of whole plaza... there is a little pond too. I think there is also an Italian rest... can't remember the name, in the same place that is decent.

Is the restaurant going to be quiet? Or do you remember if they had one large room or serveral smaller rooms? <BR><BR>What kind of food did the other restaurant have that you were thinking of?

Cadey, I think Providence Bistro had little alcoves... but I don't remember private rooms. The bar area was noisy but were we ate was ok... The other place, it might be called Capelli's but not sure... it was basic Italian cuisine.. more noisy than Prov Bistro. Maybe you should search the internet for Charlotte resturants for a more accurate picture . Good luck.

i think you are talking about Campania or something like that. <BR>I just want to go to a nice restaurant where we can eat and talk, have nice food and good service. I keep finding these places that have odd decor on the Citysearch page for Charlotte.
