Dinner Ft. Lauderdale Fl area

Can someone suggest a decent inexpensive restaurant in the Ft. Lauderdale/Tamarac area. Want to take my son and daughter out (with theire families) when I get down there. My daughter is graduating from Nursing school and my son (DIL) is having a baby around the same time.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I've had excellent meals at Season 52 and at Charlie's Crab recently.

Aack.

Charley's Crab and Seasons 52.

CC is waterfront on the waterway with great views and outside dining.

Seasons 52 is more upscale in the Galleria Mall.

The Blue Martini Lounge is a great place to hear a band if the adults want to cut loose.

With the arrival of their first baby I am sure they will not want to cut loose. They will probably want to eat and go home.

Thank you for your suggestions.

Tamarac is a long way from Ft. Lauderdale beach. If you don't want to drive to the beach you might check out http://www.emeraldcoastbuffet.com/. I am not a buffet person, however this one is exceptional. If you are going to the beach you might try http://www.seawatchfl.com/, good seafood and reasonable. They take reservations for larger parties. I agree with Charlies Crab, on the Intracoastal and very good food and you can't beat the view.

I have only been there once, but every hotel you look up is under Fort Lauderdale (for Tamarac) so it can't be too far, can it? I didn't say Ft. Lauderdale beach, I said the Ft. Lauderdale/Tamarac area although I don't know the differnce. I only stayed at my sons home last time I was there.

Will check out the places you gave me, thank you.

If you are staying in Tamarac you will be about 10 - 12 miles from most of the restaurants mentioned.

Why are you staying in Tamarac? Unless there's a good reason, I would stay closer to Ft Lauderdale.

Some restaurants on Los Olas in Ft Lauderdale:
Cheesecake Factory,
Big City Tavern (a restaurant and takes reservations)
A La Bonne Crepe (I love their Onion Soup and Crepes)
Mangos (general menu)
Cafe de Paris (a bit fancier and more expensive)

Other than Cafe de Psris, their all relatively inexpensive.

going to Tamarac to meet new grand daughter (who will live there when she is born). Best reason in the world.

All the idea seem great! Thank you all.
