Dinner and Breakfast Miami

With the help of Fodorites we have planned our May holiday in South Beach. I would appreciate advice for our overnight stay and morning in April.

We arrive from Anguilla on a Wednesday the last week of April at 6pm. Not sure how long clearance is for non USA residents.

We depart the next morning for the Bahamas at 12.45pm. I am assuming we need to be at the airport for our American Airlines flight 2 hours ahead of departure?

We would love some advice on the best place to stay for a nice dinner (or if we are too late decent room service) and where we could have a breakfast preferably with views or in an interesting setting.

We will be using cabs to and from the airport so dinner and breakfast needs to be in walking distance.
Budget is not an issue.

Thank you for your help.

Dinner definitely at Joe's Stone Crab. Expensive but worth it. It's open seasonally, but should be open in April.

Go Cuban - La Carreta or similar. Too much good stuff on offer.

We like the Royal Palm South Beach... www.royalpalmsouthbeach.com

Excellent location at 1545 Collins, next to Loews, walk to Deco or Shopping... lots of suites ... hotel is on the Beach with path to Ocean Dr....

Dozens of food choices within 5 minute walk... have fun!

So many gorgeous hotels!!! Is your budget not an issue for food or hotel?

I stayed last year at the 1

I loved it!!! Tom Colicchio has a restaurant there (I only had breakfast.)

I just at at Los Fuegos (which was great) at the Faena. I would also check out staying at the Faena,

The Edition is another hotel option..

I ate at Matador room and it was also good.

These properties are newer... they are all older hotels that were completely renovated. The Faena still has most of its original art-deco features.

Taxis to and from the airport to south and mid beach are fixed fare.

You can compare that with the uber estimated fare before you choose your ride....
