dinner after a Broadway show

Have been in New York - but not lately. We love good restaurants and are looking for a special place to eat after seeing Proof in October. Please suggest..............Thanks

The good news is that at 10:30 PM you can get a table just about anywhere, so you need to narrow down to what type of food you want, but stick to the neighborhood. If you go too far astray, the kitchens might not be serving by the time you get to your destination. Some good ones in the theater district are: Esca, Palio, Coco Pazzo, and Ilo.

Oops, forgot to add that if you are seeing a matinee, all the above goes out the window and you will need to make reservations asap. But, you could then go anywhere.

What price range, what types of food and are you talking about after a matinee or evening performance?

Blue Fin and Noche in the Times Square area are both fun places. The former's at the W Times Sq and the latter is the new restaurant of the owner of the Windows of the World. Check citysearch.com or zagat.com for readers' reaction.
