Dining with a 12 yo

Going to NYC this weekend...one 12 year old and two adult women...one of which can't get around well right now due to knee surgery. Looking for moderate GOOD and kid friendly restaurant for Saturday evening. Kid is pretty adventurous. Right now, I have ressies at Ruby Foos. Any other suggestions??

Twelve year olds have to have kid food?

Eat where you all want to eat and the 12 year old will find something.

Where will you be heading from? Telling us one of you can't get around doesn't help if we don't know your point of origin.

Woops!! We'll be in Times Square, staying at Marriott Marquis. The trip is FOR the 12 year old so, yeah, we'd like to find something she would LIKE at least.

I think Ruby Foos will fit the bill.

You will have no problems getting a cab at the Marriott and I suggest you do this.

Also, the view from the Broadway Bar on the 8th floor of your hotel is amazing and I highly suggest you have drinks there.

If your friend just had knee surgery, you do not want to walk around Times Square. You will got jostled, knocked around, run into, etc.

There's also Virgil's BBQ. If you like Italian food, there are several options 0 John's (specializing in excellent pizza), Basilica (has a good pre-theater deal), Cascina, and there are many others as well (this is what comes to mind).

I would think a 12 year old would like dining at Hard Rock Cafe. When my daughter & I went to NYC thats where we celebrated her b-day. She had a great time!
