Dining in Savannah

Planning first trip (long weekend) to Savannah. Would like suggestions for upscale restaurants for dinner and suggestions for leisurely breakfast/lunch -on the river would be fun.
No buffets, please.
We are guilty of "eating our way" through New Orleans and would like to do the same in Savannah !

Thanks !

If you like incredible, howlingly good Southern DownHome Cooking, eat at "The Lady & Sons" in the historic district. I would visit Savannah JUST to eat lunch there!

Pat, Do a "text search" on Savannah. There have been tons of posts on dining, accommodations and touring. You could compile your own good sized guide book from the info already here. :>

The river front area is very tourist oriented, do for lunch, Hugos (New Orleans style) or just walk around river then go up to City Market area and lunch at Lady & Sons or Nina's a few blocks away. Upscale dinner, Elizabeth's at 37th is wonderful.
Enjoy

Try The Pirate House resturant. The decor is very fun and it served the best salmon I've ever had!
