Dining in Prescott and Sedona

Does anyone have any suggestions? Looking for a good place for dinner - nice but reasonably priced.

The restaurant suggestions for Sedona have been covered here very thoroughly in recent prior posts, mine included. But I will add that I went to several places in the Village of Oak Creek (5 miles before you get to Sedona on Rt 179) last weekend that were very impressive. One was a little place called the Metropolitan Cafe. It is located in the back of the outlet center. But don't be fooled by that fact. It is a nice little restaurant, casual but they have very nice live music for dinner on Wed., Thurs., and Fri nights. All kinds of food- I had a good fresh trout almondine one night, and a great pasta another night. One night was an acoustic guitar player, the next was a jazz pianist. All tables full (w/locals) both nights. Small bar at the entrance w/a nice bartender, and I met some nice locals there. Very reasonably priced.
I also went to a great little (10 tables and a sushi bar w/12 seats) Japanese restaurant in Village of Oak Creek, Minami. Will definitely go back to both places.

Oops, I'm sorry- I just checked my receipt and it was the MARKETPLACE cafe, not Metropolitan.

If you want someplace nicer in Sedona, Shugrue's has good red rock views and outdoor balcony, but they are in the pricier range (although they are still reasonably priced for Sedona). At the Hillside shoppping area.

Thank you emd - I will for sure check out the Marketplace Cafe!

As previously mentioned, this subject has been covered in great detail on this forum, so if you do a search on Sedona restaurants you'll find some great suggestions. Personally, I'm a big fan of Robert's Creekside Cafe in Sedona. It's reasonably priced and they have very good food with some unusual twists. If you're seated on the upper level, you have a lovely view, especially at sunset.

We ate at the Red Planet Cafe or Diner, can't remember which one. Quite an unusual place, but had a great variety of reasonably priced, tasty food.

We LOVED The Heartline Cafe in Sedona!! Also, Shugrue's Hillside Grill had good food, beautiful view and jazz guitarist during dinner.

This may be off topic. But, I just visited Sedona for the first time and found it be one of the most touristy, tacky places I've been. If you like t-shirt shops and schloky art, uptown Sedona is the place for you. And, the restaurant at L'Auberge has to be one of the most over-rated on earth.

OK, Sedona lovers, explain the attraction.

Did you look around while you were outside at all?
