dining in orlando/kissimee?
 

Any suggestions for adult oriented dining in Orlando/Kissemmee area? I'm looking for some moderate restuarants and a couple of upscale romantic places. Thanks.

Lee's Lakeside in Orlando is very nice (or at least it was)...it overlooks Lake Eola, where you can rent a pedalboat that resembles a swan...if they're stil there try Linda's Cantina or The Sea Shack on Colonial Drive (Highway 50) which also very good...Disney execs used to frequent La Cantina...Kissimmee is loaded with chain restaurants and geared more toward families...Golden Corral serves up a very large and good buffet for lunch and or dinner and breakfast on weekends.

We loved the Flying Fish in downtown Disney. Not really romantic, but a nice place for a grown up meal. Great food & service.

The Flying Fish is on Disney's Boardwalk.

Linda's La Cantina Steakhouse is still on Colonial Drive east of downtown Orlando. I'm not sure if it's worth the drive from the attractions area even though it serves a pretty good steak. All the chain restaurants are well represented in the Kissimmee and Orlando areas, including Bahama Breeze, a fairly new concept for the Darden Restaurant group (Red Lobster, Olive Garden). There is one on International Drive and one on Rt 535 in Lake Buena Vista.

if you like chinese,ming court on international drive is FANTASTIC,we went there on our first holiday from the u.k ,we liked it so much we went back for our wedding anniversary.<BR>it is very well designed, when you are dining you can forget you are on a busy tourist street.(it has walled gardens and ponds full of koi)<BR>the food and service are excellent,i would recommend booking t get one of the gazebo tables (very romantic)

For a romantic setting it doesn't get much better than Arthur's 27 in the Wyndham Resort (formerly known as Buena Vista Palace), Lake Buena Vista, or Manuel's on the 28th in downtown Orlando.<BR><BR>Arthur's offers a prix fixe which I highly recommend. When making reservations as for the romantic 2-seaters that face the large windows overlooking downtown disney.<BR><BR>Some reasonably priced restaurants include Roy's, Samba Room, Bahama Breeze. Several Disney resort restaurants offer dinner buffets that are very good and around $20 per person. This includes Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Disney's Yacht and Beach Club.

We also really like the Bahama Breeze. The Caribbean type food is a treat for us and it is moderately priced too. Have Fun!

Is the Roy's referred to in an earlier post the famous Roy Yamaguchi, from Hawaii? If so, where is his restaurant located? Thanks very much.

Have been 5 times from Scotland - agree with comments re Bahama Breeze/Olive Garden - good food and atmosphere. Also for Sunday Brunch try the Rennaissance Hotel, unlimited champagne and truly awesome choice of quality food. Excellent. My wife and I also love the B-line Diner in the Peabody Hotel.All good choices. Enjoy.<BR>Brian - who wil be back in September 2002!

Brian - where is the hotel that does the sunday brunch - like you I am also from Scotland and will be going back to Orlando for my 6th time this summer although I have never heard of a champagne brunch in Orlando - love to try it though - can you give me all the info.<BR><BR>Ta<BR>kerry
