Dining at other hotels
 

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm used to staying at all-inclusives. :)<BR><BR>Can you dine at the restaurant of a hotel you're not staying at??<BR><BR>Do you have a be a guest to be able to visit another hotel? (I'm not talking about using the pool facilities or anything. I mean going to the lounge or restaurant & ordering a meal or drinks. )

Of course you can eat at another hotel's restaurant.<BR>Seems to me though that if you're used to all inclusives you should know this.

No, at all-inclusives you have to be a guest of the hotel to eat there since you've already prepaid your meals.<BR>

Disagree with x: Not all all-inclusives have agreements w/other hotels. The best was to find out is to just ask the hotel or the travel agent booking the trip. The hotels that do allow it usually will send you a list of other hotels and restaurants you can go to. But don't assume anything.<BR><BR>Also, sometimes the other-restaurant deal is good only for food, not drinks. Check on that, too.

I'm more confsued than ever now! :)<BR><BR>I don't know if I was clear or not. This is what I mean:<BR>If I stay at the Hyatt in Maui, can I eat dinner at the Four Seasons and then stop off at the Kea Lani for drinks afterwards? Yes, you may dine at the restaurant of a hotel at which you are not staying! This is one of my great joys in life, staying at a inexpensive place and then dining and hanging out at the Four Seasons. In fact, I do it all the time in NYC! Neither the Four Seasons or the Kea Lani are all inclusives. Just make a reservation before you go as the Four Seasons (Spago in particular) can get booked up quickly.

I think your question threw us for a loop because you mentioned all-inclusive, and some people thought that's what you were talking about.<BR><BR>You can eat and drink just about anywhere you like, except my house.

Samantha, have you never eaten a meal in a hotel retaurant where you live? Have you never noticed ads for the restaurants located inside hotels inviting people to dine there? How old are you?

geez x,<BR>lay off<BR><BR>Not everyone lives some place with nice hotels w/ restaurants in them. I suppose I could go to the Starlight Lounge in the Best Western. . . .

Used to be able to get really good fried clam strips and ice cream sundays at the local Howard Johnson's (look for the orange roof). I don't remember having to stay overnight or having to show a room key when paying!
