dining around Kona

any recommendations for wonderful food around Kona on the Big Island?

None of these qualify as wonderful IMO, but the best meals we've had in Kona were at:

Sibu Cafe
Jameson's By The Sea
Kona Brewing Company
Kona Ranch House
(all in Kailua)
Keei Cafe in Captain Cook

Trying to find a decent steak is a challenge in Kona. Believe it or not one of the best bets for consistently good steak is Outback Restaurant. Huggo's can also be very good, although we've also had more than one mediocre meal there.

For fast food, skip the rest and go to L&L Drive-In.

Kona Brewing Co. is great! Very good local beer and gourmet pizza. I think my favorite had spinach, goat cheese, mac nuts and sausage.

Never mind Kona Ranch House. They're closed.

We liked Huggo's in Kona. Great sandwiches and desserts.
