Dining and nightlife options near TI
Been doing some research and it seems that Treasure Island's dining and nightlife isn't getting many raves.
For dining, we're looking for good, casual spots (we're not big buffet fans unless we go for the Paris one) within walking distance. Maybe good pasta or veggie-centric fare. For nightlife, anything that might get us on a dancefloor and is open late. Thanks all! |

If you don't get many responses to your post, type it again with Las Vegas in your heading.(is that the TI your mean?) I opened your post because I thought you meant TI to be the Treasure Island in Florida. |
Thanks much. I will repost.

Bertolini's in ceasars forum is good. Renoir at the mirage gets rave reviews!! across at the Venetian there is a fantastic mexican restaurant. And the bar there is swank, V Bar I think it's called?

Plenty of choices at the Grand Canal at the Venetian & Caesars as mentioned above, CP has the Cheesecake factory and NY Stage Deli not to mention a very decent cafeteria in the casino. TI's cafe is very good for breakfast, love the french toast w/ bananas & powdered sugar.

PS, re: nightlife, the place to be on a Mon eve is the Foundation room at the Mandalay Bay, the only night it's open to the public. Then there's the Rum Jungle at MB, Ghost Bar at the Palms (super crowded), Light at the Bellagio and a good one at the MGM can't rem name.

For simple dining options near TI, the best bets will be across the street at the Ventian. The Grand Lux cafe is arguably the best "coffee shop" in Las Vegas. It's menu is huge, eclectic, and moderately priced. I have eaten there so many times, I can't remember a meal that wasn't awesome. The casino food court (not the Grand canal Shoppes food court) has very high quality sandwiches, italian fare, hamburgers (the best), gelato, doughnuts, pastries, etc... There are about 8 high-end resturants that will exceed the $100 diner bill. If you want a splurge, my fave is Emiril lagasse's Delmonico. Make sure you order the potato chips! (serrious!) the Mexican resturant in the shopping area is unique in that it serves the foods of Mexico City. Great Margaritas and good prices with a view of the canals. IMHO, the two Italian rests. in Venetian, Canalettos and valentinos, are of mixed reviews. Consistency is a problem with both. Whichever one seats you upstairs has the worst wait staff. The hover like vultures waiting not on you but waiting FOR their tips.
Sorry to ramble. have fun and give my recommendations a try. |
We stayed at TI in October and had a good meal in the cafe there. Also, for casual dining Kahunaville was good. I agree with the comments about the Venetian also feel the same way about Paris. We don't do buffets either but we did go to the Spice Market at Aladdin and it wasn't bad. (we were in Vegas for 12 days so we ate just about everywhere).
