Digital Cameras-XRay Screening
I plan on coming back home with photos
loaded in my memory disk that is inside my digital camera. I just got the camera for Christmas, therefore, I know nothing about how, if at all, screening x-rays affect it. Anyone have experience with this please? Thanks! |
There should be no problem with the card and the xrays. I've sent mine through and never had an issue.
Since it sounds like you're just going to have one memory card of photos to deal with, if you're really concerned, you could stop by a local photo place and have the photos put on CD/DVD. That would give you an extra copy of the images for not a lot of money. |
X-ray does not affect flash memory cards used in digital cameras. Nothing to worry about.

Ditto - I've done it many times and no problems.
|
No problem here either.
|
Not a problem. You'll be fine
|
Very grateful to you all. Thanks! :-)

The scans do not damage digital cameras and memory cards. We were screened so many times last Sept; in the airports and in all the Smithsonian museums so dont worry about it.Paul
