DFW area restaurants
Any recommendations for Sunday brunch? Will be using a taxi for airport area hotel. Thanks

There's not too much in the Irving/airport area in the way of GOOD restuarants. Try the Cafe on the Green at the Four Seasons (expensive) or Cool River (not sure if they have brunch). I've never been to the 4 season but hear its good. Cool River is very good for dinner.

You might also see whats north of the airport in Grapevine. They have a huge mall with the typical franchises around that area and a Rain Forest Cafe.

The better places will be in Dallas or Ft. Worth. The airport is in between both so pick a direction to go. Cab fair could be expensive though. The Mansion on Turtle Creek is all world but is very pricy. Mondo's is next to the Galleria Mall and has a huge Sunday brunch and is very reasonable.

If you feel like Mexican/Spanish try Cuidad in Uptown or Cafe Brazil. Both are very good and reasonably priced.

You migh also check Guidelive.com for a review of all the Dallas/Ft. Worth restaurants.

Go to www.guidelive.comand look in their dining guide under "Brunch." There will be all sorts of places listed. I know the Hotel Intercontinental's brunch is wonderful, but that would be a long and expensive cab ride. Perhaps something downtown like the Fairmont?
[email protected]

As posted above, the "Guide Live" from the Dallas Morning News is a good website to consult for brunch or any restaurant suggestions.

Area is quite spread out, so if possible may consider renting a car even if for just a day. By the time you add up taxi costs going/coming, it could easily cost you $60.

If you want to be in Dallas for brunch, Terrilli's on Greenville (italian) has actually a really wonderful brunch. Also, a sort of "hip, Dallas" place to be for brunch is Breadwinner's in uptown on Mckinney.

the people that replied to you must think you have all day. let me tell ya from someone who lives near dfw. in las colinas there are no less than 10 places that have a great sunday brunch from humperdinks to the omni hotel to frijoles. all within a 12 dollar cab ride or 20 car rental away. try those places if you are coming to dfw. if you land at dal them by all means try those other places. 4 seasons is way overpriced and over rateted if ya want great hotel brunch try marriott or omni. exit o'connor off of rt. 114
