Dewey de

DW and I are at the beach in dewey de, a hard drinking party town between rehoboth and bethany beach. We are staying with jake, our old dog, at the Sea esta motel, which is a block from the beach and they paint the sink, apparently in an effort to cover up chips or rust stains or something. Painted sinks are a little sad, but generally we're having fun. The waves are good. Yesterday was the dewey skim board championships. There were many categories of contestants. Mini boys and girls (the future of the sport), girls and boys, men and women, senior men and women, masters, and grand masters. The grand finale winner, drenched in champagne, announced proudly that he was going pro, he wouldn't be an amateur any more. I bet you didn't even know there were professional skim boarders. This is just an example of the kind of stuff you can learn in dewey de.

There's no labyrinth here. We're going to go to Nikola pizza in Rehoboth for lunch and then dw is going to look in the Thunderbird Shop for my birthday present. Then we're going to visit with relatives in lewes de, where there is a labyrinth and a cannonball stuck in the wall of a house since the war of 1812. Jake really likes the Sea Esta Motel, which has an outdoor shower handy for dog washing.

Sounds like a great time!

Have you ever taken the ferry over to Cape May from Lewes, santamonica? I don't remember it being cheap but it saved some driving. Before the 2008 economy troubles, there used to be quite a few galleries/antique stores in Lewes.

Hi tdude. We've taken the ferry. It's quite exciting, although there are no conga lines.

My old stomping grounds. http://www.dogfish.com/community/tours/index.htm

This is an A+ tour but pick a designated driver.
dogfish has a great place to eat in Rehoboth also. A nicoboli for lunch? I use to buy those half baked and frozen for my Mom. You know Grotto's pizza? He taught me in High School in the 60's. No one wanted pizza back then, he had to give it away.

I almost forgot about the cannonball. Nice memories.

Flp, Florida is nice, but what could be nicer than the eastern shore in august?
