Dewey Beach DE
 

Some friends of mine and myself are treating ourselves to a long weekend at Dewey Beach. We're looking to rent a pretty substantial sized house or condo but have been having trouble finding one that's nice enough and close enough to the beach.

We're willing to settle for Ocean City or Rehobeth if necessary.

What we're looking for:
anything that sleeps around 12 - 15
in the specified locations

Anyone have any suggestions?

Most house and condo rentals in the Rehoboth-OC area are by the week, Saturday to Saturday, so a large place for just a weekend may be difficult to find. Sorry I don't have any suggestions for you other than to stay longer!

Unfortunately almost all of the large homes have been rented since last year. Once people find a large place they rent it each year for a minimum week and often month or season.

You might be as wise to find a hotel/motel and rent the number of rooms you'd need for your long weekend at Rehoboth, Dewey, Bethany, or Ocean City.

thanks for the advice guys --- I realize that this is last minute, but I didn't realize that it'd be THIS bad. In either case -- can any suggest some nice hotels that offer suites in Dewey instead?? I'd like something close to the beach, nightlife, etc.

It gives a list of hotels in Dewey, including how far away from the ocean they are.

I stayed in a house with friends (we rent about 6 months in advance), but, I can tell you that Dewey Suites is on the same street our house was on, and it's a great location across the street from the Rusty Rudder.
