Destination Recommendations?
 

I would like to take a trip in Feb 09. I want to stay someplace warm. I have two free airline tickets in the U.S. so I can use those and only worry about hotel and other expenses. Or, I figure if I can find a great deal someplace outside the U.S. then I can use those tickets on a layover flight and then only pay the difference.

This trip would be for my spouse and I and for about 5 days. I am looking for someplace romantic, quiet, with some culture and good food. I do want to stay someplace that is "down to earth" but nice. Not pretentious.

We have four kids at home and just want a nice getaway. We don't need internet, etc. But do want a/c!

Where are you coming from?

Charleston, SC or Casa de Suenos, Isla Mujeres, Mexico

San Diego, Death Valley, (both maybe too close to home) Savannah, GA, New Orleans, or Hawaii.

The only place you'll be somewhat guaranteed warm, at that time of year, is Key West. PLenty of 'culture' there...lol

I'd go to Hawaii - Maui, Kauai, or Big Island.
