Destination Pools!!!

I'm looking for hotels/resorts with exceptional pools. Any suggestions?

According to the Travel Channel -

They also did a list for Vegas that I'm using to plan a trip.

Perhaps you could define your idea of exceptional pools, if you are in fact looking for a destination. If however you are compiling a list.

In no particular order, or style of outstanding pool for whatever reason -

Topnotch Stowe - lounging in the july sun with rasberry daiquaries - seeds and all.

Private Plunge Pool Ladera, St Lucia

Bellagio, Las Vegas European Oasis

Princeville Hawaii - infinity pool in paradise

Grand Wailea - the kid in all of us pool with all the bells and whitles

Kapalua, understated old hawaii on a hillside watching the whales and then strolling for a snorkle.

All magical - all completely different

hmmmm - I almost responded with the pool at Ladera or a plunge pool at the Jalousie Hilton in St. Lucia. Both are spectacular.

The pool at Ladera is in Superman II. It's where Superman flies to get a flower for Lois from the ice cave.

These all sound right up our alley... but keep them coming! I want to have lots of options.

I love the pools at Hyatt at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ.

I was going to say that I loved the pool at the JW Marriott in Scottsdale. Totally awesome. The entire resort is lovely.

Any infinity pool with an ocean view at the horizon.

I thought swim-up bars were great the first time I encountered one (Hyatt Regency Maui in the 80's). Then, I thought about it...and will never swim in another pool with one! :-)

(Shades of the other pool thread!)

Mandalay Bay, Vegas

Love this post! Two my family has liked - not super fantastic, but in their settings, pretty cool. They are at 1. Hyatt Tamayo in Albuquerque, NM - 3 pools, one a floating river, one with a 3 story water slide encased in stucco building. This resort is on the Indian reservation with golf course, trail rides, horse drawn carriage rides, etc. The other is the Westin, St. John, USVI. The pool is nice, especially after you have visited the most beautiful beaches that I have seen. Also, great pina coladas!

Sorry, I think its the Hyatt Tamaya. ALso, there are two resorts outside of San Antonio, one a Hyatt & the other, not sure. Haven't been to either but worth checking out.

Hi there... I wanted to bring this one back, as we have since visited a few of the mentions but are always looking for an exceptional destination pool. Usually families are looking for great beaches, but due to some unfortunate allergies we are looking for great pools!! We prefer in the US but are open to all options. Tell us about you favorite resort pools. Thanks!

The basking pools at Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur. There are a couple of shots of them in my album from a trip a few years ago.

Consider the Venetian Pool in Coral Gables, Florida as a possible option for the family. Hope you enjoy your choice, the Lord bless you all!
