Destin/Ft.Walton/PanamaCBeach/PensacolaBeach???
 

Am planning a trip to the Florida Panhandle area. Which of these would you recommend for the best beach and what would be the nicest beachside hotel accommodation? Thanks.

My recommendation would be destin, or maybe the beaches of south walton, such as grayton beach, blue mountain beach or seagrove beach, along county road 30A, or if sticking to destin on old highway 98. It would be hard to pick a specific hotel--there are tons and tons of condo rentals which I think are better in this area. You might try the Abbott Resorts website to get an idea of the geography and location you might like--www.abbott-resorts.com--but there are tons of other sites on the internet with info.

The last time I went down to the Panhandle Gulf Coast, we went to St. George's Island off Appalachicola. Much quieter and isolated than the areas further west. <BR> <BR>All the beaches along this part of the Gulf are gorgeous with their fine white sand! You didn't mention Gulf Shores. That should be as much of a consideration as the Florida destinations you've mentioned. <BR> <BR>Have fun!

We always stay in Navarre Beach, between P'cola and FWB. Quick drive to either and BEAUTIFUL beaches!
