Desperate for Beach Vacation - where to go?
We live in Colorado and are needing an ocean fix. We want to do a four to six night trip somwhere in June but can't figure out where to go. Normally we would go to Florida but June is high humidity and the start of the rainy season so looking elsewhere. We are looking for nice beaches, warm sunny weather, and good restaurants. We thought about Loews in Santa Monica but have heard good and bad reviews. Any ideas?

How about the Caribbean? I went to Jamaica in late May and it was great. The weather there tends to be about the same temperature year round and you have the breezes as well to cool things off. I love Negril in Jamaica.

South Padre Island, Texas is usually very nice in June. When it's not Spring Break, SPI is a very popular family destinaion. There are lots of good restaurants there, too. www.spionline.com
