Denver ski shops

Can anyone give me the name of a ski shop in Denver to stop at on my way from the airport to Breckenridge? I need to find a pair of bibs or ski pants for my 14 year old daughter who has grown out of the pair I was certain would fit. We live in Florida and the only store that sells any kind of ski clothing didn't have anything left today. (Sports Authority) We leave on Saturday for the mountains!

Sports Authority, known as Garts Sports in the Denver area, has multiple locations in Colorado. Go to the Sports Authority website and look under locations for the store most convenient for you.

Colorado Ski & Golf and Christy's Sports are also good options.

I would suggest the Colorado Ski & Golf store at 7715 N. Wadsworth Blvd in Arvada. It is only slightly out of the way as you travel I-70 west toward the mountains. Take Pena Blvd (the highway leading out of the airport) to I-70. Get on I-70 heading west. Stay on I-70 west past I-25, past Federal Blvd, past Sheridan Blvd, and then get off at Wadsworth Blvd. Head north on Wadsworth for about a mile and a half. Between 77th St. and 80th St. there will be a strip mall on your left (the west side of Wadsworth). This is Northridge Shopping Center. Turn left into the strip mall. The Colorado Ski & Golf store is back in the southwest corner of this "L" shaped strip mall.

You can stop at Gart Sports in Dillon. They have pretty good prices and a great selection.

Or, if you are in Denver, go to Target. But Gart's is easy. There is a Gart's on I70 somewhere off the highway.

Although I love Target, I would not recommend it for ski pants. You will find the quality at Garts much better and the prices are fairly reasonable.

But for folks who live in Florida and are skiing for a week, it might be worth a look. We got nice pants for our grandson there. You wouldn't find it anywhere else in a Target.

hi moll, unless you are very familiar with denver and have a ton of time to kill in the city i would wait til you get to summit county. there are plenty of places there to shop for pants. it may cost a few more dollars but will save you the aggravation of driving around denver.

We love the Gart Brothers store in Silverthorne. It isn't in the outlet mall but all you need to do is ask someone once you get off at Silverthorne. It is close to the exit. Great selection and great bargains.

There is also a ski clothes & equipment outlet in Silverthorne. I forgot the name but its across from the McDonalds just off the highway. Go to the top of the ramp as if to the drive-thru and instead of turning left into McDonalds, turn right. It called something like Rocky Mountain Sports Outlet or something similar

Thanks for all the replies! I'm sure we'll be able to find something for my daughter to wear. I've posted a new question about a place to stop for lunch on the way. Please help out if you can!
