Denver restaurants

Looking for fun, not super-expensive, restaurants near downtown for an Ocober visit. Thanks

There isn't a Red Lobster in downtown Denver. Why would he suggest that! RockBottom Brewery, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, lots of places in LoDo. Jax Fish House, a Cajun place in Union Station.

I second Vesta's Dipping Grill! It's fun and funky and different. They have a website if you'd like to peek at the menu.

Vesta is great. They're currently booking reservations at least 1 1/2 weeks ahead of time. Book early!

Yes I have got to stop reccomending Vesta's!

We did eat there last week, got there early around 6 and got a table without a reservation. Great as always!

La Fondue, Tamayo's, Palomino, Rialto Cafe

Ditto on Vesta! It's unique, delicious and fun! I was able to make reservations online from the website for 3-4 days in advance. It was quite easy--I would recommend doing it that way.

Adding a new one. The Samba Room at Larimer Square.

Ate there last night when we could not get a table at Vesta's. Nice room, moderate prices, most entrees in the 13-18.00 range. They describe the food as Cuban Fusion.

The food was good, not fantastic, but again a nice room with fun atmosphere, nice staff. good location for wandering around before or after dinner.
