Denver museums

I will be in Denver in April and would like to know which museums are most worthwhile to visit. Also is a tour of the Denver mint available, and, if so, is it worth the time?

the denver art museum is wonderful. the western art section may still be closed but the native arts section is very good. also some good calder and o'keefe. you need you state senator {i think that's the right person} to request admittance to the mint for you these days. i did the philly mint and frankly was not all that thrilled. the natural history museum is quite good. the zoo is fun. the botanical gardens might be pretty in april. and off the program a bit you might ride out to golden and do the coors brewery tour. its very interesting and unusal.

Here is the link to the mint website:

You do not need to request admittance from a senator and the good news is you can now make a reservation.

We loved both the art museum and the natural history museum. The art museum is not huge so you could pair it with the "unsinkable" Molly Brown house which is nearby.
