Denver day activities near convention center.
Hi All,
Will be in Denver starting on the 21st for about 5 days. I'm tagging along DH's conference so am free during the day to do stuff. Any suggestions on what to do? I've visited the DAM but am planning to do so again. Was also thinking of renting a bike and riding around town that way - nothing too strenous since the last time I was in Denver I experienced altitude sickness (slight). Can you list some suggestions for me? I like nice light food type restaurants (salads and pastas with nice glass of wine) for lunch. I love art. Would like to do some shopping (but don't have a car). Is there a shuttle I can take to outlet malls? Will want to visit the big REI store since I didn't get a chance last time. How far is Cherry Hill? Can I walk there? We're staying at the Hyatt by the convention center.
Thanks in advance.
p.s. we know about the Octoberfest going on but it looks like it's only going on during weekends so we're trying to hit that for Sunday.

You can walk over to Tabor Center from the convention center (or take the city tram), only a few blocks. for lunch and shopping. It's not as large as Cherry Creek Mall but it will give you something to do for a couple hours.

No train service. You could take a bus - http://www.rtd-denver.com/ Route 2 would take you from downtown to Cherry Creek. I would just take a taxi.
