Denver, CO Merchandise Mart area?

I'm going to an expo at the Merchandise Mart near Denver, Co in Sept. I would like to find a nice hotel with room service or a restuarant on site. I see there is a Comfort Inn next to the expo, not really what I'm looking for.

You might search for Westminster hotels.

The problem is that there is not much around the Merchandise Mart. The nicer hotels will be in the downtown Denver area which is six or seven miles away Good luck

I've searched the Denver downtown area and found that the hotels that I was interested (Westin Tabor, Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt & Marriott City Center) are unavailable on the dates I need. Because the location looked interesting, I booked a room at the Courtyard Marriott on 16th Street, between Curtis St. and Champa St. Are you familiar with this hotel. . . what do you think? We'll be staying three days, spending a day/day and a half at the expo, I thought if we stay downtown we might have a little time to walk around downtown. Friday night we will go the Rockies game at Coors Field. Do you know of any casual restuarants with great food in the area? Thank you for you reply!

Courtyard is an excellent location right on the 16th Mall but towards the quiet end. The free Mall shuttle bus will transport you to within a couple blocks of nearly everything. You are across the street from the Rock Bottom Brewery, a decent brew pub with typical bar style food. There are about 50 restaurants in that general area so you will have no problem finding what you like. Our favorite for a light meal is the Wazee Supper Club - some of the best pizza in all of Denver. On Larimer historical district you have a fun and inexpensive mexican restaurant -- Limes and a more expensive Medican restaurant -- Tamayo. The preimer steak house -- Capital Grill. The best hour food in all Denver is at McCormick's. Then you have Vista Dipping Grill, 1515, P.F. Chang, Del Mar Crab House -- the list is nearly ending. Use a car and i can give a half a dozen more. Let me know exactly what you like.
