Denver Broncos tickets

Any idea what is the best way to purchase Broncos tickets (Ticketmaster seems very expensive). I have a bit of an issue in that I live in Bermuda I can't really show up at the stadium a week before the game and hope that they have some tickets left. Any ideas?

I believe it's almost impossible to get Bronco (in Denver) tickets at all. However, if you go to the Bronco website, there will be a page about ticket sales. If there are any available, it is usually possible to pick them up at will-call on game day. Generally, single game NFL tickets are not available until sometime in July.

If you can't get tickets direct from the Broncos, here's a couple of suggestions.

While not a Broncos fan, I have a friend whose run into this problem while trying to see his team, the Packers, in Green Bay. As it is virtually impossible to do that, he usually gets to about 1 game a year by going to one of their road games. (Usually against a lousy team that doesn't draw well at home.)

You can probably forget about their division rivals. But, check their schedule for 2003. I believe the Broncos play at Cincinnati. Given how bad the Bengals are, that might be a relatively easy ticket.

Alternatively, you might try and get tickets through their opponents as several teams have travel agencies for home fans who want to travel. (I believe that each visiting team gets a small allocation of tickets which they can sell.)

The New York Giants, for example, offer packages through their agency "Big Blue Travel." They even have packages for this weekend's playoff game in San Francisco.

Good luck, except on the field, of course.

Your best bets are buying on the secondary market (through the Broncos or other web sites), from Ticketmaster, or for a road game someplace like Oakland. Oakland almost never sells out (good team - but really bad fan relations because of Al Davis. They are invariably blacked out on TV because they do not sell out 48 hours in advance))

If you are going to suggest that a Broncos fan attend a game at the "Black Hole" in Oakland, you might want to at least give him the name of a good insurance company. I can't imagine a more dangerous thing for a sports fan. I mean, that's like suggesting that he attend an English soccer match in a "Bite Me Limey" t-shirt.

friendly: You are right, of course. Though, as long as he doesn't wear Broncos colors or get into it out in the parking lots during the taligates, he should be OK.

Another site is Ebay! I bought good tickets to the sold out Broncos/Raiders game on Dec. 22 a week before the game. I paid half what the scalper sites were asking. I got someone's season tickets and I needed 4. Just go to the web, type in ebay. Select then type in Broncos tickets. You will be surprised. Of course luck does play into the auction. GOOD LUCK, Holly
