Denver Bed and Breakfast?

We will be in Denver later this month to attend a conference. I much prefer BnBs as opposed to big conference hotels.

I've come across Capitol Hill and the Queen Anne online. Can anyone recommend a nice BnB that is close enough to the Convention Center, not necessarily to walk, but to cab. Price not a concern

Thanks for any help you can provide.

A friend of mine used to stay at the Castle Marne when she came to Denver on business. It is a short cab ride to the convention center:

It gets very good reviews on TripAdvisor:

Thanks for these suggestions. I'm looking now into Queen Anne and Castle Marne. Will let you know how it goes..

I hate to be contrary but personally I don't think either one is a great area. Queen Anne is the closest to the convention center but still a long walk. It is an area that is being redeveloped south of the ball walk but within a couple block of the homeless missions. There are no restaurants in the immediate area.

Castle Marne at Race and Colfax is better but not a whole lot better. Again that section of Colfax is undergoing a transformation but still has a ways to go. One of the reviews for the C Marne suggested it was easy walking distance to downtown. If you think 25 blocks to the convention center is easily then it is. Again, restaurants are limited in that area but Strings is on 17th. I would choice C Marne over Queen Anne just of the location.

hello fmpdem, thanks for your honest review of the locations. I think I better not chance it and go for the Convention Hotel which is the Hyatt or the Ritz. I can decide if ever for the next trip!

Castle Marne is not on Colfax, which is 15th. It is closer to 16th. A minor distinction, unless you know Colfax. 17th has some great restaurants, too.

It is not walking distance, but you said "not necessarily to walk, but to cab."

Being a half block off of Colfax doesn't improve the neighborhood much. And Colfax is more likely to be identified on a small map than 16th. Please name some of the great restaurants on 17th between City Park and downtown or even on Colfax for that matter.

Our kids at one time lived not far from this area. No matter what the gentrification, you will enjoy being closer to downtown and your meetings and what is going on. It is not a great part of town yet--and 17th does have some interesting restaurants, but you need to know "where". Of course, a cab is possible. But you also want to be "around the action". Save the b&B for another time.

Gretchen, my thoughts exactly. I'm not booked at the Ritz at the convention group discount and I'm looking forward to being pampered at a luxe hotel in the center of town.

Thanks everyone for the input! Appreciate it a lot!
