Are you going to have skis with you? If so, is it really worth all that trouble to take a shuttle to a train or a bus? I ski all the time and it's si much schlepping. Say you take the Super Shuttle. That's $44 for two plus tip. So say $55 to be safe. You could be the last stop and you waste hours of time. Or you can take a cab for $55/60, according to some posters. Is it worth all this trouble to save $10????? I'm exhausted thinking about it!

Good point, Skiergirl. Lugging skis along is the game changer. I didn't think of that.
I think there's a standard taxi fare from DIA to downtown, and it's in that range. We take a cab home now and then, from DIA, and it comes to $60 plus tip. We live closer to DIA than downtown.
Sometimes it's worth the money, I agree.
Only the OP knows. . ..

The OP states this is a music AND ski trip . They are going to Steamboat. I travel with four bags on trips like this including a ski bag, boot bag, carry on and small suitcase. This is one of those times where you most likely won't save a lot of money while wasting a lot of time and breaking your back carrying all that junk around.

I should have checked my thread sooner--oops! Thanks for the additional info--no, we aren't traveling with skis or anything like that, just our regular luggage and a carry-on, etc. Only my DD is skiing and she is renting the equipment in Steamboat.

Also, any recommendations for dinner on Sunday night and breakfast/brunch/lunch on Monday? It looks like we will be in downtown Denver until about 2 on Monday so will have some time for shopping, sightseeing, etc. Any advice on that? Thanks in advance.

Hi--thanks again for all the tips...we are here in Denver now. We ended up taking a cab from the airport; our flight was late and we just didn't want to mess with anything else. We appreciated knowing an approximate cost and the cab cost was as just as posted. As for dinner, we ended up just down the street at Maggiano's. Yes, it's a chain (I think), but it was lively with a nice entree selection to choose from for both of us. We were busy with family stuff last night so I neglected to check back...sorry.
