Booking restaurant reservations in Santa Fe
We will be visiting Santa Fe and have read some great stuff on some fantastic restaurants.
We are visiting in early September (just after Labor Day). If we want to eat as such places as La Boca, Geronimo or Coyote Cafe in the evening, how far ahead should I be looking to make reservations?
Many thanks

September is hight season here. If there are places you absolutely have to eat, I would try to make those now - especially for weekends. Also, restaurants in Santa Fe don't tend to be open late [as in "the kitchen closes at 9" or so].
Try using opentable.com. to book reservations. Easy to change and cancel without penalty.
Also, if you want to save some $$$ try buying dining certificates on 999dine.com It is a local RELIABLE company that sells certifiicates for use in several restaurants. They are good for at least 90 days, so you can buy them ahead of your trip or even the day of your meal.
There is a flat fee service charge {$2} and you pay a percent of the certificate. For example, you may get a $50 dinner certificate for 60% off and pay only $20 for it. Then when you pay your bill, you have $50 certificate to pay.
We have used this company for over 4 years and have never had a problem. They are for all types of restaurants and do have some minor restrictions, but it is a great deal.

The restaurants you mentioned are very popular and prime-dining times book up quickly, especially around holidays. La Boca is a small restaurant and will book up very quickly. Geronimo and Coyote Cafe are larger but very popular so if dining at these restaurants are important then book now.
