Denali State Park

I was wondering if anyone has visited Denali State Park (not the huge national park). I was thinking of staying at the McKinley Princess Lodge in the state park. What are the relative merits (especially scenery and wildlife viewing) of the state and national parks? I've read (I think in Fodor's) that the views of Mt. McKinley from the state park are even better.

We stayed a night (RV) at DSP. We couldn't see Mt. McKinley because of the clouds. It was a nice park. Took a an enjoyable hike.
