Delta raised baggage prices AGAIN

In the middle of a very catchy campaign by Southwest about "Bags Fly Free" Delta has raised their check in baggage cost again. Are they crazy?!? Of course we made our reservations on 1/8, meaning we missed the cut off date for the old costs, so that REALLY pisses me off. I've written to them which I'm sure is to no avail, but had to let somebody know their timing is horrendous and I'm over their games.

Steam coming out my ears - it's too early in the day for this much frustration..........

Delta really wants to be bankrupt. There is no other explanation.

Travel light. Problem solved.

Sadly, Southwest may be changing their tune....

It's just restructuring the cost, baggage fees are subsidizing the operation and it makes ticket prices look cheaper. Delta is still competitively priced for me to most destinations that I frequent. It has been a long time since I found a SWA fare that was the cheapest even with baggage consideration. It's not much unlike booking a hotel to save $10/nt only to find that they charge $15/day for wifi making choice #2 the true cheaper option. I only wish there was a fare search engine that took baggage into consideration so it would save some research on my part to figure out the total cost of a fare.

Does such a thing exist?

We fly Delta a lot and I wish they would just charge one price for the ticket and cut out the nickel and diming. Drives me nuts.
