Deep-sea Fishing Outer Banks

If anyone's interested in fishing in the Golf Stream, I can wholeheartedly endorse Capt. Britt Shackelford and his boat, the DogHouse www.doghousesportfishing.com He's an experienced captain and one who truly loves what he does - and the people who come fishing with him. He used to have a pretty old boat, but has a brand-spanking new one now. Just a recommendation for those of you who might be interested. Happy Fishing!

My dad has been out deep sea fishing (on the gulf stream) in the outer banks several times. EVERY single one of his guests (my brother, 2 brother-in-laws, a grandson) were DEATHLY ill the whole time. He always does just fine. We'd meet the boat there at Oregon Inlet and people coming off would be literally green. He'd come bouncing off, and was always the only one who ate his lunch! Now whenever he tries to get someone to go with him we call them the victims.

How funny! His guests (victims) obviously didn't use the patch!!

It's Gulf Stream. And the patch doesn't work for everyone under every circumstance.

Oh the patch! My husband (one of the victims) gets nauseous at the very thought of the patch! Ha!

Actually, I've always wanted to go one of the pelagic birding trips to the gulf stream -- but, needless to say, I'm not sure if I have my dad's seasick genes or not, and so far I'm unwilling to find out. :)

Oops on Golf Stream. I've heard of those bird trips - supposed to be amazing. My brother has done some of them. Seasickness is one of those things that's horrid to experience, isn't it? Maybe you could just settle for seagull watching - ha
