December in Charleston

My wife and I are considering spending a long weekend in Charleston during the first week of December. Average temps for that time of the year shows 60 degrees for a high.
Charleston looks like a great walking town. So, are we setting ourselves up for a cold, miserable weekend? Or a fun pre-Christmas experience?

Hmmmmm...up here in NJ, a 60 degree day is delicioulsy welcome in December. You must be from the equator if you think you will be cold and miserable. At that temperature we northeners dont even think to put on a coat.

Charleston in December is fabulous but maybe you should save it for the Spring.

just curious, which charleston are you referencing? WV or SC?

nevermind, my confusion was the result of seeing it being listed as one of the more recent topics being replied to.

Charleston, SC in December will likely be a lovely pre-Christmas experience. Great shopping, incredible food, what's not to love?

We just returned today from one of several trips we have made to Charleston. It's a lovely city, and you will have a wonderful time.
