DC/VA/MD cell phone service

I am just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on which cell phone carrier has the best service for these 3 states. We will be relocating to one of these states and we are wondering which one would be better than the other - t-mobile, att or verizon.

TIA.

I suspect that you'll find excellent coverage for any cell phone service in a major metropolitan area. My daughter and most of her friends at college in DC had Verizon and never had any problems with it.

I've been using Verizon for years in Virginia, and service has been fine.

Another vote for Verizon! We have travlled to various states (including HAwaii) and have never had a problem getting service. It even works in the middle of Yosemite National Park!

One difference is that Verizon has service inside the Metro tunnels; so far, the others do not.

ATT and T-Mobile operate on the international GSM technology, so if you travel abroad you might want one of those instead of Verizon, which is good in North America only.

Otherwise, I suspect they are all about the same in cost and coverage locally and across the U.S.
